EuroVelo – Bringing Europe together by bicycle EuroVelo aims to design and create an integrated cycling network connecting European countries, monitor existing or create new cycling-friendly routes and integrate them in a registered European network. This network currently includes more than 45.000 km of cycling routes, while thousands of additional ones are scheduled to be added, which when completed is estimated to exceed 70.000 km.

Officially signaled EuroVelo routes can be found today in countries such as Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain, Italy and other. These routes are now internationally recognized, a fact that facilitates their maintenance and expansion via economic and political support across borders.
