Top EuroVelo stories of 2020
The end of the year is fast approaching, which provides a good opportunity to look back over what has been a difficult but successful year for EuroVelo. The adoption of the new long-term EuroVelo Strategy, cycle tourism reacting to the COVID-19 pandemic and a brand new route joining the EuroVelo network were some of the highlights but read on to see EuroVelo’s year in review.

EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail declared a Cultural Route
Following a seven-month application process, EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail has joined the list of 38 Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe. This is the first time that an entire EuroVelo route has been recognised in this way!
The Eurovelo 11 route starts off from the Region of Central Greece
The Region of Central Greece (Sterea Ellada), a pioneer among Greek Regions, welcomes cycle tourism via the Eurovelo 11 route that crosses its territory from Glyfa village and port at the border with the Region of Thessaly down south to Dilesi village near the border with the Attica Region.
