Nowadays, cycling tourism has become an extremely hot topic in Europe. Millions of citizens choose bicycle for their holidays, either exclusively as a mean of transport or recreation. Thus, they need safe, well-marked routes and plenty of suggestions, depending on their budget and type of holidays they seek.

Greece is currently on the bench, as the three designated routes that cross the country have not been finalized yet. “Cities for Cycling” as National Eurovelo Coordinator aims to operate as the point of reference and cooperation between local authorities and citizens involved in cycling tourism in Greece. Our goal is to provide the necessary know-how and support required to understand the potentials and dynamic of Eurovelo in Greece and lay foundations for such development.
